innocent son
well, here we are! two months to go until d-day. give or take a few days. we shall see. right now, it's all doctor appointments and getting big packages in the mail and looking forward to baby showers. i'm having 4! how blessed. all day long i can feel you hiccuping and stretching and kicking. sometimes i almost take it for granted, you move so much. what a wonderful problem. two months until i see your face. right now you are head down. good boy! stay that way. we are both healthy, by all indications. your daddy has the flu right now, and is therefore staying upstairs in the bonus room during the day, and sleeping in the guest room at night. he's a good guy. i feel like if i don't write everything down, i might forget. actually i know i will, what with my diminished brain power and all. otherwise known as pregnancy brain. it's real, kid. i am having trouble sleeping nowadays. my hips hurt quite a bit most nights. i do have to get up and use the bathroom around two to three times a night. i sleep with about a hundred pillows. it's some of the hardest work i do all day to get situated in bed and then try to turn over. ugh. i don't sit up and get out of bed either, i roll. your dad calls me roly poly. i still take zofran once a day. i tried not to, but i was so sick by lunchtime i had to take it. but i consider how badly i felt in the first few months, and all of this seems like a piece of cake. mmmm, cake. i daydream about my shower cakes. lots to come. something i would have never dreamed of a few months ago. i am incredibly thankful for how good it's been since october or so. my weight is good. i haven't gained very much because i started out with a little too much. my blood pressure is excellent, they tell me. your heart rate is good. and thankfully, you are head down. my mother was not as lucky with me......being breech and stubborn about it. i still sleep in late right now. i feel i need to, to get enough rest. i feel like my days are numbered. i think about how it might be when you get here, the sleepless nights and possible crying from me because my hormones are all out of wack. oh wait, they already are! i do quite a bit of crying as it is! never mind when i'm sleep deprived. but i know it will be for the greater good. it will be worth it. you will be here, living and breathing in and out into the world. and mine will never be the same. i love you, ethan wallace, my son.
