only moment we were alone

i finally danced in my apartment. it happened during one of the many summer storms we have had in nashville, when the lights were flickering and the drops were raining down like love and bliss on the balcony. i danced even though i was tired. i danced even though it was on carpet that threatened to tear at my feet. i danced even though the supper could have burned. i think it's what God is trying to tell me, you, everyone. there is hardly ever a time where you feel like everything is perfect, in place, ready. life is happening all the time with or without our participation. life is happening as much now as it was when i was giving up and lying down every morning. i could give you quotes from the Bible, movies, songs, etc. that emphasize my point. but i'd rather just tell you from my own experience. we don't always have the job we want, the house we want, the car, the upbringing, the money. we don't have to. we don't have to have that. it doesn't matter. what matters is making your business, what you're about, not about those things. i want to make my life about the One who gives me life. i AM making my life about the One who gives me life. no longer do i say it like it's not already going on.
the first prophecy i ever received was when i was about 15. it was that God would speak to me through people and music. the music part especially rang out to me, and has proved true time and time again. if only i had been listening, really listening, for the past 7 years. i would have saved myself so much. but i have learned so much in the process. the words that played while i was dancing were these:
"tons of bliss raining from the skies, molecules of Love inside
loved i am loved, loved by You."

listen. what do you hear?
